Background:Coxsackie and adenovirus receptor (CAR), also known as CXADR is a component of the epithelial apical junction complex that is essential for the tight junction integrity. It is a type I membrane receptor for group B coxsackieviruses and subgroup C adenoviruses. Pseudogenes of this gene are found on chromosomes 15, 18, and 21.It is proposed to function as a homophilic cell adhesion molecule and recruits MPDZ to intercellular contact sites. CAR is probably involved in transepithelial migration of polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMN) through adhesive interactions with AMICA1/JAML located in the plasma membrane of PMN.

VALIDATION IMAGES
Paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin embedded (Human brain glioma); Antigen retrieval by boiling in sodium citrate buffer (pH6.0) for 15min; Block endogenous peroxidase by 3% hydrogen peroxide for 20 minutes; Blocking buffer (normal goat serum) at 37°C for 30min; Antibody incubation with (Coxsackie Adenovirus Receptor) Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-2389R) at 1:400 overnight at 4°C, followed by operating according to SP Kit(Rabbit) (sp-0023) instructionsand DAB staining.
Blank control(Blue):A549 (fixed with 2% paraformaldehyde for 10 min at 37℃).
