Background:ALDOB is a tetrameric glycolytic enzyme that catalyzes the reversible conversion of fructose-1,6-bisphosphate to glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate and dihydroJNCacetone phosphate. Defects in ALDOB cause hereditary fructose intolerance.
